North Node Conjunct North Node Synastry

Posted on April 26, 2022May 2, 2022 by stargazer

What does it mean if you have the north node conjunct north node synastry aspect with someone?

At first glance, this conjunction might seem like a key connection—but it isn’t really.

North node connections in synastry might indicate a karmic relationship. They often indicate immediate attraction between two people and important life lessons you learn from your relationship. However, the north node conjunct north node in synastry is not what you should be looking for here.

Most likely, this aspect is not even among the most significant ones in your chart. Keep reading to find out why!

North Node Conjunct North Node Synastry Meaning

The north node is the point where the Moon’s orbit crosses the ecliptic. It’s not an actual celestial body, it’s a mathematical point. This point moves through the Zodiac relatively slowly, finishing a whole circle in ~years. The nodes spend in the same sign about 1,5 years.

Because of this, the north node conjunct north node in synastry only speaks about the age difference between two people (the same is true about the south node conjunct south node synastry aspect). When it comes to meaningful relationships, you want to see more personal ties in the synastry chart (between quick-moving planets and angles).

The north node conjunct north node in synastry (or the south node conjunct south node) suggests that you are probably of the same age. Altenatively, there might be an age difference of approximately 18 years between you (or any multiple of 18).

People born during the same few months have their north node conjunct with each other, so this is not a particularly significant aspect in synastry. You had this conjunction with the majority of your peers in school as a child.

The north node in aspect to personal planets, on the other hand, is a whole different story. Such and aspect is usually key in synastry. If you have e.g. someone’s Sun or Moon on your north node, that’s an important conjunction you should under no circumstances ignore. These conjunctions suggest strong attraction between two people and they might be indeed indicators a karmic relationship. Any aspect should be taken into account, not just the conjunction.

The north node conjunct north node synastry aspect, however, is way less meaningful. The rest of the synastry chart gives a clue about what to expect in this relationship.
